Horizontal continuous casting

Strictly selected raw and auxiliary materials are melted in the cupola or induction furnace, then transferred to a holding furnace above a water-cooled graphite die. As the solidified shell is drawn horizontally by the tractor, molten iron continuously feeds the crystallizer — producing a dense, fine-grained bar with no shrinkage porosity.

Different crystallizer shapes and pulling parameters let us cast round, square, rectangular, semicircular and hollow profiles in gray iron, ductile iron and alloy cast iron grades.
