Overview
Cast iron bar is a versatile engineering material produced through the continuous casting process, where molten iron is poured into a water-cooled graphite die and drawn downward as it solidifies. Unlike sand-cast individual parts, continuous cast bar exhibits a uniform, fine-grained microstructure throughout its entire length — free from the porosity, inclusions, and hard spots that plague conventional sand castings.
This consistency makes continuous cast iron bar the material of choice for high-volume CNC machining operations where predictable tool life and consistent part quality are non-negotiable.
