Industrial Motor Bases

Adjustable mounting platforms for electric motors — cast iron and fabricated steel, engineered for precise belt tensioning across NEMA and IEC frame sizes.

Overview

Built to your drawing, to your standard

Motor bases are the structural foundation of every belt-driven power transmission system, providing a rigid, precisely aligned platform that secures the electric motor while enabling controlled belt tension adjustment.

Without a properly engineered motor base, even the highest-quality motor and pulley combination will suffer from premature belt wear, vibration-induced bearing failure, and energy-robbing misalignment. At MACHINING Force, we manufacture motor bases that combine structural rigidity with smooth, repeatable adjustment mechanisms — delivering years of reliable service in the most demanding industrial environments.

Manufacturing

From drawing to inspected part

SEC. 07 // PROCESS
01

Engineering & DFM Review

Our application engineers review your 2D drawing or 3D STEP model, run a design-for-manufacture study, and recommend material grade, heat treatment and surface finish to meet the specified duty cycle at the lowest landed cost.

02

Precision Manufacturing

CNC turning, 3–5 axis milling, cylindrical and internal grinding, gear hobbing, induction and case hardening — all performed in-house on calibrated equipment under IATF 16949-aligned process control.

03

Quality Verification

Statistical process control on critical dimensions, first-article (FAI/PPAP) approval, CMM traceable measurement, Rockwell/Brinell hardness mapping and Ra surface-roughness verification per ISO 9001:2015.

04

Preservation & Dispatch

VCI oil, desiccant sachet and heat-sealed PE for corrosion protection; ISPM-15 fumigation-free plywood cases; barcode labelling and pre-cleared export documentation for door-to-door delivery.

Industries

Trusted across demanding sectors

Our parts run inside gearboxes, drivelines and finished machinery for OEMs in a dozen industries — supported by full traceability and consistent global delivery.

Six layers of verification

Every batch passes chemistry, dimension, hardness, balance, finish and NDT gates before it leaves the plant.

SEC. 09 // QC
Q.01

Material Certification (EN 10204 3.1)

Every heat is verified by optical emission spectrometry against the ordered grade. Certified mill test reports (MTC) accompany each shipment and are archived for ten years for full lot-to-lot traceability.

Q.02

Dimensional Inspection (CMM & FAI)

Zeiss and Mitutoyo coordinate measuring machines verify GD&T callouts to ISO 1101. First-article inspection (FAI) and PPAP Level 3 packages are issued for automotive and safety-critical parts on request.

Q.03

Hardness & Metallurgical Analysis

Rockwell (HRC), Brinell (HB) and micro-Vickers hardness maps confirm case depth and core properties. Metallographic sections are examined at 100–500× for grain size, phase distribution and inclusion rating.

Q.04

Dynamic Balancing (ISO 1940)

Rotating components — pulleys, sheaves and gears above 1,800 RPM — are dynamic-balanced to G6.3 as standard, with G2.5 available for high-speed drives. Residual unbalance is reported in g·mm per plane.

Q.05

Surface Finish & Coating Verification

Contact and non-contact Ra/Rz measurement, coating thickness by magnetic and eddy-current gauge, adhesion by cross-cut, and 500–1,000 h salt-spray corrosion testing per ASTM B117 on plated and painted parts.

Q.06

Non-Destructive Testing (NDT)

Magnetic particle (MPI), liquid dye penetrant (LPI) and ultrasonic (UT) inspection by ASNT Level II operators. Radiographic (RT) inspection subcontracted to accredited third-party labs when required.

SEC. 13 // FAQ
Standard catalogue items ship from stock in single pieces. Custom-machined parts typically start at 20 pieces per SKU, with lower prototype quantities of 1–5 accepted at a modest set-up charge. For high-volume programmes we scale to 100,000+ pieces per year.
Yes — full OEM/ODM capability. Send a 2D drawing (PDF, DWG, DXF), a 3D model (STEP, IGES, X_T) or a physical reference sample. Our engineers issue a DFM review, firm quotation and lead time within one business day. Under NDA we treat every drawing as customer IP and never share it with third parties.
Turning and milling routinely hold ±0.02 mm and Ra 0.8 μm. Ground journals reach IT5 / ±0.005 mm and Ra 0.2 μm. Bore concentricity to 0.01 mm TIR, gear quality to DIN 6 / AGMA 12. Tighter tolerances are quoted on a feature-by-feature basis.
Standard parts ship in 2–3 weeks. Custom-machined and heat-treated parts run 4–6 weeks. Tooling-intensive items (large forgings, sand-cast blanks) or full PPAP approval add 1–2 weeks. Airfreight sample runs can compress this to 10 working days.
Yes. Every shipment includes an EN 10204 3.1 material test certificate (MTC), a dimensional inspection report and — on request — Rockwell/Brinell hardness readings, dynamic balancing reports (ISO 1940) and NDT results (MPI, LPI, UT). PPAP Level 1–5 packages are issued for automotive customers.
The plant is certified to ISO 9001:2015 with an internal quality system aligned to IATF 16949 for automotive customers. Environmental management follows ISO 14001, and welded pressure parts are produced under EN ISO 3834 procedures with certified welders.
Absolutely. We sign mutual NDAs before quotation, restrict drawings to a need-to-know engineering team, and never publish customer part numbers, photos or applications without written approval. Dedicated tooling remains customer property and is stored under lot ID for repeat orders.
Incoterms 2020: EXW, FOB, CFR, CIF, DAP, DDP. Invoicing in USD, EUR, GBP or CNY. Standard terms are 30% T/T deposit with balance against B/L copy; irrevocable L/C at sight is welcomed for orders above USD 30,000, and open account (Net 30–60) is available for approved repeat customers.
Yes. We ship DDP to customer warehouses across the EU, UK, North America, Türkiye and Australia, and support call-off kanban, VMI and consignment stock programmes for repeat OEM customers.
Send your drawing or reference sample to our sales engineers via the inquiry form on this page or by email. You will receive a DFM review, sample quotation and realistic lead time within one business day, followed by an initial sample and inspection report before series release.
